Basic installer training - Solar cells

Basic installer training is a three-day training that makes you a better installer of solar cell systems in terms of quality, economy and technology. You gain competence to carry out the practical work and a theoretical understanding of how you should do it and why. The practical training takes place in Glava Energy Center's solar park, on different types of roofs and with different mounting systems.

Background

In total, there were over 250,000 solar power installations in Sweden in the beginning of 2024. During 2023, over 100,000 grid-connected solar power installations were installed in Sweden. A total of 1,600 megawatts were installed, double the amount compared to 2022. The interest in installing solar panels and the need for solar panel installers remains significant. Many companies aim to enter the market, while the shortage of trained personnel is substantial.

For the positive industry development to continue, both quality and competence supply need to be ensured. Glava Energy Center's fundamental installer training contributes to such security, quality, and stability in the industry.

Target group

Active in electricity, construction and planning. Those who work with or are in the starting pits to establish themselves in the market for solar cell installers and who want to receive a solid basic education.

Course objectives

The course provides the necessary knowledge to be able to professionally install and assemble solar cells based on a drawing with good function and safe operation. The installation must secure guarantees and meet requirements from insurance companies, electrical safety authorities and fire authorities. After passing the training, a course certificate is obtained from the Glava Energy Center.
