Preparatory Certification Course for Solar Panel Installers
Glava Energy Center's preparatory certification course for solar panel installers is an online preparatory course for the theoretical exam in the Swedish Solar Energy certification for solar panel installers. The focus is on relevant questions to pass the certification. The course also provides in-depth knowledge of the different aspects of the installation process and increases confidence in the work.
Since the end of 2021, the industry association Swedish Solar Energy has introduced a certification for solar panel installers. Through this certification, the industry aims to highlight companies that maintain high quality, efficiency, and possess the right knowledge of installation and mounting. The certification consists of a theoretical exam and a certificate of practical competence. Practical competence is primarily certified by the current or previous employer. Glava Energy Center's preparatory certification course for solar panel installers is a preparatory course for the theoretical exam.

After the course, participants will have in-depth knowledge of the different aspects of the installation process and increased confidence in their work.
Two days of instructor-led online training using the Zoom platform.
- Work environment and safety
- Product knowledge and DC design
- Mechanical attachments, ballast, and roofing knowledge
- Electrical installation laws and regulations
- Other topics covered include self-checks, documentation, electrical safety, cable laying, connectors, and mounting systems.
After the training, participants will be invited to a day of practical exercises and in-depth discussions at Glava Energy Center in Hillringsberg, Glava, near Arvika. Accommodation is available at a cost price at the nearby Hillringsbergs Manor.
Tim Ljunggren, a civil engineer in electrical power engineering and business economics. He is an instructor in design, installation, commissioning, and assembly for companies and vocational colleges. He has worked together with Swedish Solar Energy to develop the certification model.
