On-grid system

In Glava Energy Center's solar park, there are four different ground-mounted systems, known as On-grid systems, that are connected and supply the power grid with solar electricity. The combined installed capacity of the systems is approximately 180 kWp, producing around 180,000 kWh of electricity annually, delivered to the grid. Multiple parameters are logged for each system every six seconds. This includes measurements and logging of voltage, current, and power, which can, for instance, be used as real data for calculations in various projects.

Financing

The On-grid systems have been developed with support from:

  • Interreg Sweden-Norway
  • European Regional Development Fund
  • Arvika Municipality
  • Arvika Business Center
  • Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency, and Environment (FEM)
  • Region Värmland
  • Karlstad Municipality
  • Kristinehamn Municipality

On-grid system 1

On-grid system 1 consists of 20 multicrystalline silicon solar cells from REC Solar, with a total installed capacity of 4.5 kWp, producing around 4,500 kWh per year. The system features an inverter from SMA, the SMA Sunny Boy 4000TL. The frame comes from Terrafix, and the earth anchoring was carried out by Jordankartjänst.

The system also includes a weather station, SMA Sunny SensorBox, measuring wind speed, solar radiation, and module temperature, which is logged every six seconds using an SMA Sunny Webbox.

On-grid system 2

The facility for On-grid system 2 consists of 80 ITS modules, incorporating four different types of monocrystalline silicon solar cells. The installed capacity is 17.6 kWp, producing approximately 17,600 kWh annually. Four ELTEK Valere inverters of model Theia 4300tl are part of the system. The mounting structure is provided by Solkraft Mounting Systems with ground screws from Terrafix.

In addition to electrical parameters, measurements of temperature, humidity, air pressure, and wind speed are conducted. Data is logged through the monitoring tool PLATINUM Webmaster.

On-grid system 3

On-grid system 3 comprises 400 multicrystalline REC modules with a combined installed capacity of 86 kW, delivering around 86,000 kWh per year to the grid. The inverter in the system is a SUNGROW SG110CX, and the mounting structure is from Solkraft Mounting Systems, using ground screws from Terrafix.

In addition to electrical parameters, wind direction and precipitation are measured using Metrum PQ 140. Data logging is done using AURORA Datalogger.

On-grid system 4

On-grid system 4 consists of 300 modules from SweModule with a total installed capacity of 73 kW, producing around 73,000 kWh annually. Glava Energy Center owns 23 kW, while Fortum owns 50 kW of the installation. Eleven ABB PSV300 inverters are installed in the system.

The mounting structure, unlike the other on-grid systems, comprises a ballast system using used concrete slippers and guardrails from SweModule Mounting Systems. The system is monitored and measured using the ABB SREA-50 monitoring tool.
