Methodology for Flexibility Strengthened by Data Analysis

In the transition to flexible power grids, the ability of grid companies to make accurate forecasts of needs and to map flexible resources is central. In this context, data analysis tools can play a key role. This is the conclusion of Glava Energy Center in a pilot project that tested new analysis methods from Endre Technologies and the research institute RISE on two local grids in Värmland.

Game Plan for Monitoring Sustainability Presented to Strategists

In the EU project ARIES4, a game plan with proposals for areas and indicators of economic, environmental, and social sustainability has been developed, providing guidance for regions and societal sectors in measuring sustainability. In October, the project results were presented to strategists in regional development at a seminar at Karlstad University.

MSB Maps Fire Risks for Solar Panels

Swedish rescue services need to improve their ability to handle fires in buildings with solar panels. On September 4-5, a reference group from MSB (Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency) was on-site at Glava Energy Center to conduct a large number of rescue scenarios. These tests will serve as the foundation for a new national guide for Sweden’s rescue services.

Knowledge of Inspections Competitive Edge in the Solar Industry

The slowdown in the number of installed solar power systems is creating tougher times in the solar energy industry. This gives companies all the more reason to invest in knowledge about quality and safety, according to Per Hederstedt, course leader at Glava Energy Center. Last week, he conducted an inspection course in the test and solar park at Glava.
