Great interest in course in inspection of solar cells
There is a lot of interest in Glava Energy Center's newly started course Inspection of solar cell installations. The crowded premiere round in mid-October was attended by inspectors, supervisors and project managers as well as solar cell and electrical installers from both Sweden and Norway. A new round of courses is now being arranged on 24-25 January 2024.
Project participants from Navarra, Gabrovo, and Southern Denmark met in Karlstad
Karlstad University and Glava Energy Center welcomed project participants from Aries4, representing the Spanish region of Navarra, the Bulgarian region of Gabrovo, and Southern Denmark, to Karlstad Innovation Park on October 24-25, 2023. This was the second of a total of three face-to-face meetings within the three-year project.
African change agents were trained in Glava
Engineer Jilian Ouko from the electricity grid company Kenya Power was one of 30 change agents from Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia who participated in a full-day training at the Glava Energy Center in October. The training is part of LIFE Academy's international and SIDA-funded training program in renewable energy, which will promote change work for sustainable development in African countries.
Future collaborations in focus when Fortum visited Glava
One of Glava Energy Center's nearly 70 members is the energy company Fortum. At the end of June, a delegation from the energy company Glava visited the Energy Center to discuss future collaborations in line with Fortum's investment in solar and wind power in the sustainable energy system of the future.
Sustainable transport the goal for new collaboration with LBC Borås
On behalf of LBC Borås, Glava Energy Center is to drive the work of producing decision-making material for the company's development of a sustainable energy system. The goal for the transport company is to switch from diesel-powered vehicles and reduce the carbon footprint.
Innovations and networks at the world's largest solar fair Intersolar
Glava Energy Center participated in the world's largest solar fair Intersolar Europe in Munich on June 14–16. The aim was to get a feel for technical trends and new products in the solar energy industry and to network with international players.

Solar park training starting point for Rottnero's energy investment
In 2024, the forest industry company Rottneros plans to start up a solar park and a battery storage at the company's mill in Rottneros, Värmland. At the beginning of June, a delegation from the mill participated in a customized solar park training at the Glava Energy Center.
Course gave knowledge about energy storage and batteries
Last week it was time again for Glava Energy Center's battery storage for properties course. The course focuses on planning and designing battery storage systems. At the same time, space is given for the participants' industry-specific questions, which is appreciated by the course participants.
