We Are Looking for an Ambitious Energy Systems Engineer with Broad Expertise
Do you want to help drive the energy transition in practice? Do you have a broad interest in energy systems, electrification, and digitalization, and want to develop in a role where technology, collaboration, and project management meet? Then you may be the person we are looking for. Glava Energy Center is seeking an Energy Systems Engineer who wants to take the next step in their career and contribute to the implementation of a national demonstration project focused on industrial electrification and digitalization, working closely with leading actors in the energy sector.
About the Role
As an Energy Systems Engineer at Glava Energy Center, you will:
- Support the project's industrial partners in both technical matters and the practical implementation of demonstration activities.
- Contribute to the planning, coordination, and follow-up of activities carried out by project partners and within Glava Energy Center.
- Participate in the analysis of technical data, documentation, and knowledge transfer from the project's demonstration environments.
- Help ensure the successful implementation of the project.
You will work closely with Glava Energy Center's project managers, technical project managers, and communications team. The role also involves collaboration with companies, research organizations, and other stakeholders participating in the project.
You will become part of a small and dedicated team where collaboration is highly valued. In addition to project-related work, you will be expected to contribute to the development of Glava Energy Center by participating in joint activities, sharing knowledge across projects, and helping strengthen our organization.
This role is well suited to someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, collaboration, and project management. We are particularly interested in candidates with an interest in several of the following areas:
- Operation and development of local and regional electricity grids.
- Energy use in society, particularly within industry.
- Flexibility markets and flexibility services.
- Energy and power management control systems.
- Artificial intelligence and its growing role in industrial processes and energy systems.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A Master's degree in an energy-related field, or equivalent technical education and experience.
- At least two years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong organizational skills and a structured approach to work.
- Good problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to work independently and take responsibility for their tasks.
- A commitment to sustainability and gender equality.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in both Swedish and English.
- A valid Category B driver's license.
Meritorious Qualifications
The following are considered advantageous:
- Experience in project management or project coordination.
- Experience working with industrial operations and energy-related issues.
- Experience implementing energy or development projects.
We Offer
- A fixed-term position for three years.
- Employment at 80–100%.
- Start date in August 2026, or as agreed.
- Flexible working arrangements, with the possibility to work from our offices in Arvika and Glava, as well as partly remotely.
