Innovation and business potential promoted at Elmia Solar

Glava Energy Center and Business Region Värmland will participate as exhibitors at the premiere in February of Elmia Solar, the new Nordic meeting place for the solar energy industry. The purpose is to meet industry players and disseminate knowledge about Värmland's unique potential for innovations, skills development, and business establishments within solar energy and smart, sustainable energy systems.

– Elmia Solar is an exciting new arena to explore, and we are here to share knowledge and network about our innovation system, our unique test site, and our independent industry and customized training programs, says Magnus Nilsson, CEO of Glava Energy Center.

From February 13 to 15, 2024, Elmia Solar will gather 115 exhibitors showcasing a wide range of products and solutions – from solar panels and inverters to energy storage and electric vehicle charging. Among the exhibitors are many of Glava Energy Center's member companies, such as BayWa r.e., CheckWatt, Ferroamp, KP Energy, and Krannich Solar AB.

Unique proposition for the solar energy industry

Glava Energy Center participates as an exhibitor at the fair together with Business Region Värmland (BRV).

– We join forces with Business Region Värmland at Elmia Solar because Värmland truly has something unique to offer the solar energy industry – not least through Glava Energy Center. Since 2009, we have carried out around 70 innovation projects in areas such as solar energy, smart grids, microgrids, and battery systems. Our independent industry training programs strengthen competence, quality, and safety in the solar energy industry, and we have a wide range of test beds focusing on solar energy, energy storage, smart control, and flexibility, says Magnus Nilsson.

Aiming to attract international players

Interest in Elmia Solar has spread beyond Europe's borders, with several international companies from China, Germany, the Netherlands, as well as the Nordic countries represented among the exhibitors. This is an interesting starting point for Business Region Värmland, participating in the fair to showcase Värmland as a potential location for international investors and potential business establishments.

– Värmlands is a hotspot for establishing a business within solar energy and smart sustainable systems. Here is plenty of accessible green- and brownfields as wells as northern Europe´s largest testing facility within the field. Let´s meet up at Elmia Solar and discuss the possibilities of establishing your business in Värmland. We´ll be on site february 13th and 14th, says Ahmed Alaeddine, Manager at Business Region Värmland.
