Innovations and networks at the world's largest solar fair Intersolar
Glava Energy Center participated in the world's largest solar fair Intersolar Europe in Munich on June 14–16. The aim was to get a feel for technical trends and new products in the solar energy industry and to network with international players.
– This is a unique international environment to meet players in the industry and take part in the launch of new products, says Magnus Nilsson, CEO at Glava Energy Center, on site at Intersolar.
Intersolar Europe is the world's largest solar trade fair, which this year took place from June 14-16 in Munich, Germany with nearly 1,400 exhibitors. This year, Intersolar Europe took place as part of "The smarter E Europe" in parallel with three other energy fairs. In total, over 85,000 visitors from all over the world were expected to visit the energy fairs in Munich.
– Hence, Intersolar is a good forum to take the pace of the industry. It is also time-efficient to meet industry players to discuss ongoing, new and potential collaborations, continues Magnus Nilsson.
Technology scouting for ongoing projects
Glava Energy Center was also at the fair to examine specific technology areas within the framework of some of the company's projects.
– The fair covers solar energy, energy storage, smart control and charging infrastructure. All these areas are of great interest to us, says David Olsson, project manager in smart sustainable energy systems at the Glava Energy Center, also on site in Munich.
Some particularly interesting examples at the fair for the Glava Energy Center were new technical solutions for cooling battery systems, the solar cell technology N-type TOPCon, the growing business for recycling solar panels and the increase in market establishments around smart control within energy networks.
– There are positive tones in the industry and we can state that there is continued continuous technological development around solar energy, energy storage and smart control, says Magnus Nilsson.
