When Elmia Solar returns in February 2026, the fair will further strengthen its role as a hub for knowledge, business development, and future solutions in solar energy. One of the biggest news items is Innovate at Solar – a dedicated area for startups that want to be visible, meet the industry, and showcase their solutions.

It was a full house when Glava Energy Center hosted the 2025 Energy Conference in early June. The spotlight was on tomorrow’s energy solutions – brought forward by insightful experts and innovators, vibrant discussions, and concrete examples. From grid capacity and flexibility to energy communities and innovation – with the inauguration of the Solbron testbed as one of the highlights.

Annual Meeting with Breadth, Engagement and Strategic Focus
Glava Energy Center’s Annual Meeting on June 2 brought together nearly 50 participants from more than 30 member companies. With a growing membership base, new projects, and long-term initiatives in focus, the day was filled with forward-looking discussions, knowledge exchange, and a workshop on the future direction of the innovation cluster.

Sonja Berlijn will be speaking at the 2025 Energy Conference in Glava about the future of the electricity grid — and why the solutions to take major steps toward a fossil-free future already exist today. Sonja is Director at Norwegian DNV, Professor of Secure Power Systems at the University of Oslo, and a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences.

Glava Energy Center is one of seven innovation clusters receiving funding from the Swedish Energy Agency to accelerate the transition to a smart, sustainable, and resilient energy system. The initiative aims to strengthen collaboration and spread innovations in the energy and climate sector.

Kickoff for the Swedish-Norwegian Project CIRIS
The kickoff for the Swedish-Norwegian project CIRIS (Interregional Circularity in Central Scandinavia) has taken place. The project aims to strengthen research and innovation capacity within circular industrial value chains in Värmland and Innlandet. During the kickoff, the Swedish project owner Glava Energy Center and Swedish partners Karlstad University and Arvika Näringslivscentrum and Norwegian project owner Vaager Innovasjon AS were gathered.
