Knowledge of flexibility opens new business opportunities
Glava Energy Center is now launching two new training courses on flexibility markets – a digital introduction and an in-depth course held on site in Glava, western Värmland. The courses are aimed at both grid operators and companies that want to understand how flexibility can become part of their business while also contributing to a more sustainable power system. The instructor is Darijan Jelica, flexibility expert and CEO of Flexia Consulting AB, with experience from starting and running several flexibility markets in Sweden.

Trend spotting from Intersolar 2025
Intersolar Europe, held every year in Munich, took place this year from May 7–9. With 1,450 exhibitors and around 100,000 visitors, it is one of the world’s biggest trade fairs in this field. The event shows the latest innovations in solar energy and energy storage.

Students from Karlstad University Strengthen LOKEN
Six students who have studied electrical engineering at Karlstad University completed their theses in spring 2025. Their theses within the LOKEN project cover topics such as hybrid production, temperature simulation in solar panels, and local energy planning. Now, Glava Energy Center is looking for more energy cases that can be used as theses for spring 2026. Contact us by September 30.

New board member reflects the breadth of the energy issue
Research advisor Erica Åkerberg from the Grants and Innovations Office at Karlstad University is the new board member of Glava Energy Center. She takes over from university colleague and professor of material physics Lars Johansson, who was bid farewell at Monday's association meeting.
