RedigitiZE to Drive Industrial Electrification with Digital Solutions

How can digital technologies help industry grow while using electricity more smartly – without being constrained by today’s limited grid capacity? That is the focus of the RedigitiZE feasibility study, led by Glava Energy Center and funded by Vinnova. The project brings together industries, energy companies, researchers, and technology developers with the aim of identifying new pathways towards a more flexible and electrified industrial sector.

Four-Step Method to Increase Electricity Grid Flexibility

A four-step methodology has been developed as a practical guide for grid operators to implement flexibility in electricity networks. This is the key finding of a new report from Glava Energy Center, produced with support from Energiforsk. The report also reveals that the flexibility potential among electricity producers, industries, and private consumers in Värmland is higher than expected.

Methodology for Flexibility Strengthened by Data Analysis

In the transition to flexible power grids, the ability of grid companies to make accurate forecasts of needs and to map flexible resources is central. In this context, data analysis tools can play a key role. This is the conclusion of Glava Energy Center in a pilot project that tested new analysis methods from Endre Technologies and the research institute RISE on two local grids in Värmland.

Värmland's electricity grid could become a model for the entire Sweden

Over the next year, Glava Energy Center will explore the potential for flexible use and production of electricity within Värmland's power grid. The project is funded by the research entity Energiforsk, aiming for its outcomes to establish a model applicable to all of Sweden's electricity grid owners
