Solar Research Center Sweden SOLVE
The national competence center SOLVE, Solar Research Center Sweden, is a multi-year research and innovation initiative coordinated by Uppsala University. The initiative aims to strengthen collaboration between industry, the public sector, and academia. Glava Energy Center is one of the partners.
SOLVE is based on collaboration between five Swedish universities and RISE, Research Institutes of Sweden, along with around fifty companies and organizations, including Glava Energy Center. Each partner plays a role in the expansion of solar energy in Sweden and Northern Europe. The initiative is coordinated by Uppsala University.
What's the project intended to achieve?
The activities within SOLVE aim to initiate collaborative research projects contributing to a rapid expansion of solar energy in the Swedish power grid.
How is the project executed?
Within SOLVE, research projects are conducted across various themes, including advanced technology and system aspects, combinations of solar energy with agricultural land, and energy storage.
Who participates in the project?
SOLVE is based on collaboration between six academic partners: Uppsala University (coordinator), Dalarna University, Karlstad University, Mälardalen University, the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), and RISE, Research Institutes of Sweden. It involves around fifty companies and organizations, including Glava Energy Center.
